The Industry Leader Summit will follow the Congress theme “Greening the Global Food Supply Chain through Innovation in Food Science and Technology”. Four industry leaders will each give a 30 minute presentation on the importance of research to their company’s success and innovation strategy, and they will identify future research needs. The presentations will be followed by an interactive panel discussion where audience members will be invited to participate.


The major food companies showcase their innovation, generally linked to the theme of the Congress, and a small hi-tech company outside the food industry demonstrates how its research and services, from disciplines outside the traditional food science and technology can be of value to the food industry. All the Speakers will then be invited to join a Panel with the Co-Chairs to participate in a Q & A with the audience. There are no concurrent sessions so if the last Congress in Montreal is a guide, we expect this Session to be informative, thought – provoking and lead to a stimulating debate and maybe with ideas for cross-functional research coming from the floor! 


Hear what industry experts have to say about the challenges their respective industries face and how the industry as a whole can work to achieve common goals.
