IUFOST Conference Programme as a Poster

The abstract, as outlined in your author notification email, has been accepted into the IUFOST Conference Programme as a poster. You are invited to present a poster based on this abstract.
You will be informed of the day you are presenting in late July. On the day you are due to present, please go to the registration desk where you can check what poster number you have been allocated. All posters must be hung in their allotted space by 08:30am on the day you are presenting. If you hang your poster outside of your permitted time, it will be removed. An author or co-author for the poster should be available to answer delegates’ questions during all break times as outlined in the programme.

You are asked to follow the following guidelines when producing your poster for presentation at IUFOST 2016:

All posters are required to conform to portrait orientation. Failure to follow this requirement will mean that the poster will not fit on the allotted board.

  • Posters must be A0 size in Portrait Orientation (0.84 x 1.19 m).

  • Posters should be clear and easy to read. Type size should be sufficiently large to allow people to read from 2-3 metres away. (Minimum of 16pt font size for text and larger for titles). Do not reduce the text size in order to fit more information onto one poster.

  • Although your poster can expand on the information provided in your abstract, try to avoid overload – too much information or a cluttered appearance detracts from the overall impact. Less is more!

  • The simple use of colour can enhance a poster, but avoid the temptation towards using too many colours that distract from the content.

  • Consider the use of suitable photographs, images, tables, charts and graphs.

  • Keep logos discrete and to a minimum.

  • The poster background should be plain to ensure legibility

  • Before sending to print do not forget to proof read the poster yourself, and ask someone else to do the same, checking also for clarity.
